This song was inspired by a conversation I had with my partner. We weren't fully understanding each other, and I was overwhelmed with a sense of frustration. I wanted my partner to see the bright side of things and let go of this sense of negativity.

It was only afterwards that I realized how I myself sometimes succumb to self-doubt and despair. I felt like I understood and wanted them to grow past that feeling, but I didn't realize they needed their own time to process. It was in my own sense of not knowing how to connect that I wanted to share these feelings.

How we grow and recuperate from any form of depression is different for every individual. It's a work in progress and it takes time and patience. I realize that I may not always have the right answers and that's okay. We are still working at it and continue learning how we can help listen to one another. ^-^
